The Coin Club of Greater New Bedford was founded in 1938. It is among the oldest coin clubs in the country, celebrating its 85th Anniversary in 2023! Our goal is to promote the advancement of friendship and education through numismatics.
As a regional organization, applicants from towns outside of New Bedford are encouraged to join. Club meetings feature educational and social programs, as well as a membership auction. The club sponsors an annual educational event, to a major show or historical site, a summer social and a holiday party!
Membership is open to both men and women who are at least eighteen years of age, and non-voting junior members under eighteen years of age are welcome to join.
Please complete the application on our website. Please remit $20.00 with your application for the first year's dues.
Note: Acceptance of applicants occurs at the meeting. Applicant must attend while the application is read to the membership and the applicant is introduced. This application will be voted upon, and the applicant will be notified at the meeting.
Attention Teachers/Scout Leaders: If you have a group of youngsters interested in learning more about Numismatics and collecting, we have members in our group who will come out to make a presentation to your group at no charge! Email us today!
MEETINGS
Club meetings are held every fourth Tuesday of the month. All meetings begin at 6:00 PM and feature educational and social programs as well as a membership auction. A typical meeting lasts from 6:00-7:30. Refreshments are provided.

(DIRECTIONS: From Rt. 195 take Rt 88 south to the 4th set of lights. Take a right onto Hixbridge Road and the next right into the Police Station driveway.)
We will also be doing the ZOOM meeting for those that can not make the in-person meeting.
A Zoom Meeting refers to a video conferencing meeting that's hosted using Zoom via your smart phone or computer in the safety of your own home.
